I've never owned a litter genie before but I've heard nothing but good things about them. And let me say this is worth it. It's easy to setup it comes with the refill bags and a scoop that hangs on the side. The first day I used it I loved it. It's perfect for a small place, it helps keep the cat box smell away. You open the top flap, slide the bottom panel out and discard of the waste, close the panel and the lid and that's it. The smell it gone the cat box it clean and you don't have to make multiple trash trips. This is well with it

I like not having to drag the litter out every night. I wish the opening that you dump the litter through were just a little bigger but that is my only complaint. I have 2 cats/3 litter boxes that I empty at least once a day. The bag needs emptied every third day and a cartridge lasts me about 4 weeks.

One refill has enough bag length to last you months. When ur done you just use the blade to cut, tie it off, discard, and then pull down more bag and start again. Literally so easy and so helpful with litter smell. Every cat owner needs this.

I used to put my cats waste in dog waste bags and have to immediately take it to my apartments dumpsters across the complex but i don't have to do that anymore. I keep the litter genie right beside her litter box which is so quick and convenient. Just open the lid, drop the litter in, close it up, and pull the slider out to dump the litter. After the slider is pushed back in, you'll never smell it again. The bag doesn't get moldy and i usually only have to take it out once a week max. It takes up hardly any space at all and if you hate the smell of cat litter, you need this!!!
