I am 76 years old and do have a bit of experience putting things together but this was really easy. The directions were self-explanatory and it was obvious how to adjust the chair assist rail to my specifications. It took me about an hour to get it all to my satisfaction but the adjustment part took longer ... I am fussy. Thanks and I will be ordering the car caddie.

I'm in a restrictive brace after a hip injury and find it almost impossible to get up off my couch. I "invented" this in my mind, then went online looking for something like it. Perfect. Sturdy, easy to assemble and adjust, and does what it promises. Wish I had this when I rehabbed my hip replacements. Everyone who sees it wants one.

Be careful that it works best if the seat cushion is the removable type. Could be a little more secure -- older folks may not like the bit of wobbling/shaking in its design; probably needs another crossbar toward the front of the cushion.
