My dogs LOVE this food! I was initially hesitant to purchase it due to the high cost. However, as I am constantly trying to change and rotate the flavors that I feed my dogs (who wants to eat the same thing every day?), I decided that I would go ahead and pay the price for one month. Oh my gosh! As soon as I opened the bag, I could see why the extra cost. It's not the normal dry dog food. Most of the ingredients appear to be freeze-dried (see photo). My dogs scarf it up every morning as if I haven't fed them for a week! I'm reordering, for sure! Yes, it could be less expensive, but hey- my dogs are happier and seem more satisfied and not constantly asking for more to eat during the day.
I want to give my dog the best food possible

I was looking into the Farmers Dog and other real foods for my dog but she does not react well to food with too much moisture. I wanted to find a good dry food. Ive learned that a lot of kibble products are not healthy at all. I was very concerned with the ingredients. I did my research. Rachel Ray Dish was test by researchers and scored very well on quality. There were 3 ingredients the study made note of and only because there is not concrete evidence for those ingredients. These ingredients are not dangerous, but they have mixed reviews on whether they are nutritional. For the price, I find the Dish a great choice for my pup. I copied and pasted what I found about the 3 ingredients. (*Brewers rice - this item is of only modest nutritional value to a dog. *Beet pulp is a controversial ingredient, a high fiber by-product of sugar beet processing.
Some denounce beet pulp as an inexpensive filler while others cite its outstanding intestinal health and blood sugar benefits.Additionally, this product contains *sodium selenite, a controversial form of the mineral selenium. Sodium selenite appears to be nutritionally inferior to the more natural source of selenium found in selenium yeast.)
Unbiased opinion

I have been buying all thee versions of this product (i.e., the Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe with Veggies & Fruit, 3.75 Pounds, Beef & Brown Rice Recipe with Veggies, Fruit & Chicken, 3.75 Pounds, and Chicken & Potato Recipe with Veggies & Fruit, 3.5 Pounds, Grain Free), for several years now, with the last several times having been from here, and will continue to do so, as long as prices remain fair and competitive. Packaging quality and turn around time have thus far been commendable. For NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION, please refer the product labels and do your research; there's tons of information out there, and you will be amazed at how much there is to learn about the pet food industry, packaging, ingredients, etc., and it will be well worth the effort - but be forewarned, it will require a committed, and often time consuming, long term and ongoing effort, on your part, if you really want to learn all the things you should know, in this regard, consider purchasing a copy of the Book / Soft Cover, by Zinc, M. Christine, entitled: Dog Health & Nutrition For Dummies®. It's a gold-mine of information and could potentially save you tons of that time and research. - CONDIDERING THE FOREMENTIONED, such is why I've rated the ingredient quality for this review at THREE STARS . . . NOT BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE BETTER - OR WORSE - but simply because I don't have the analytical knowledge, to offer a what I believe should otherwise be a more solidly based, educated assessment, of an animal nutritionist, in this regard. I AM however operating on a principal of trust, here, based upon the information otherwise reflected upon the packaging and the the product comparisons of a "layman," after having first compared this product line, against numerous others, before beginning to buy my, for my guys, which are two little chihuahuas. As for the FLAVOR . . . again, three stars, because I'm not eating the food myself, so I don't know how it tastes, LOL. And while I can say that my guys don't go beating down the doors to run over to their bowls like I'm laying out a platter of filet mignon for them, they've also however never acted as though they don't like it or don't care for it, and they do eat it and act content when and after doing so. The male of the two (one's a female, the other a male - they're brother and sister), even likes to take out some of the nuggets and dehydrated carrot chips and slap and chase and play around with them, from time to time. It's a funny sight to watch, and he enjoys that, as well, LOL. The VALUE FOR THE MONEY rating, I gave 4 out of 5 stars, but I really think you'd be quite hard pressed to find a better price point average for this product line elsewhere, and believe me, I've checked, A LOT (I'm quite "OCD"). As well, I also gave an OVERALL rating, of 4 out of 5 stars, because I have NOTHING negative to say about the product, thus far, and so far, never have. I also have no reason to suspect that I otherwise would, or may, at some future point. I don't think I've EVER given 5 stars for anything, in this class of products, so 4 out of 5 is, then, pretty darned good :) - Also, Chihuahuas have pretty sensitive stomachs, and my two handle this product just fine . . . but if your switching over, always do so slowly and in moderation, because the stomachs and digestive systems of some animals and pets (like Chihuahuas) can be very sensitive. PS: I had also checked with my vet before beginning to feed this dog food to my guys way back when, and she had said she considers it a good product, as well. You should also do likewise.
Great nutrition

My dogs love this, they dig into it as I am putting the dish down. I have never seen them dig in so fast with any other products, and I can actually see the veggies in the food, not just kibble but actual pieces of veggies you can easily identify. Try this your dogs will love it, and the fact that I can get this on subscription is a plus.
