I purchased one of these the first of September '17 and a few weeks later, purchased another. We had a deck built and needed to cover about a 5 foot wide section beside it. This area is heavily trafficked by two big dogs (one about 70lbs, the other about 100lbs) who run and jump off the deck. During construction, this area got trampled by the workers and any semblance of grass was completely destroyed. To help avoid the mud track, I needed something that would cover that section without costing a fortune and that hopefully will last more than a year or so.
I had to trim about a foot off which was a snap with heavy scissors. I purchased some 6" galvanized nails and washers that the head of the nails wouldn't go through. I'd planned on tacking the rugs down, three nails on each end and three across the center, but it holds so well, that I wound up doing a total of 10 for the two rugs (I overlapped them and used one nail combo to tack them both at once). They've been down now for six months and there's no sign of raveling, wear or anything. Other than being a bit dirty, they look just like they did. To clean them, I use the leaf vacuum to pick up the larger pieces, then just hose it down to wash the dirt off.
I feed raw food to the dogs and one likes to have his supper on the rug. He also pees on it when he's too lazy to track out into the cold too far. Both of the dogs drag their toys over it, roughhouse on it and in general beat it up. If it's held up this well for six months, I have no doubt it'll keep going for many, many more.

Better than alternative astroturf/fake grasses

The rug worked out great for the first couple months I have had it and I still enjoy it considerably more than any rug I have had recently. The price really makes it a good product in my opinion, I did think the grass would be longer, however looking back at the description more closely I see 10 mm and realize that's not too long, especially if it lays down at a slight angle. My cat loves it however has recently started stripping it at the edges. I use it as an indoor rug under my couch and table on the hardwood floor.
Pros
- looks like grass (a bit short however)
- feels comfortable on bare feet
- Cat enjoys this
Cons
- can't be vaccumed and cat hair sticks in it
- peels on the edges and doesn't lay completely flat

I wasn't looking for high quality but I was hoping this would be a cheap alternative for the expensive turf from Porch Potty. I replace the turf twice a year but was hoping to do so more often. The biggest problem with this turf is drainage. The whole are too far apart and the grass too short so it puddles.
Disappointed

I like the price, but the description is inflammatory. There is NO rubber backing, the pile is about 1/4" high, the edges are coming apart. Really poor quality, not at all what was described in the ad. Very Disappointed. False advertising. Obviously this company would rather deceive customers than be honest about what they are getting. DO NOT BUY.
Easy to cut with a utility knife to the right ...

Edit: One year later, this is basically completely destroyed by the sun and outdoor elements. It's was on the south side of the house which gets lots of sun and it's all crumbly and cracked. Weeds started growing through it. Junk!
Worked well to cover a patch of dirt in my side yard. Now all the dust is contained and it looks a little bit nicer. Easy to cut with a utility knife to the right dimensions and easy to stake down using stakes I also bought on Amazon.
