It's a nice size runner but I bought it to use in the kitchen and it catches dirt and food pieces in the weave. Hard to clean - I have only used a vacuum though. It would probably be better in a hallway - not a kitchen.

We bought this runner for our kitchen to avoid heavy tracking on the slate floor when the dogs come in from outside. So far so good! It prevents dirt from trailing through the whole house and has been easy to clean with a broom or vacuum. However, it is not super comfortable to stand on since sisal is quite rough, but it looks great and serves it's purpose.

I really like this rug. It has a natural, very attractive look. My cats like it too. The quality of the sisal is great and holding up well to their repeatedly using it as a scratching pad. My only complaint is a few-inch section of my trim arrived looking like a dog chewed on it, all torn and shredded. I didn't want the hassle of sending a huge room-sized rug back though so I hid that section under a chair. If it weren't for the chewed up trim section, I'd have rated this 5 stars.

I think this would be a great carpet for a foyer where you have shoes on but I bought it for my bathroom and it is very hard to walk on in bare feet or even socks. It does have a nice backing to it and it does not have any odor and lies flat as soon as you unroll it. I really like the way it looks as well but NOT for bare feet. Will need to return it and find something else. It's a shame because the color is nice and it is the perfect size.
