I'm using this for something a little different than for a GPS... I'm using it to keep up a window for which the motor has failed! This solution relies heavily on the suction power of the device, whether it's a rain or a hot summer day. I'm happy to say that my windows have not fallen since I've propped them up with two of these little suckers!
I will say that I did put a little bit of water on the suction before applying it to the glass to give it that extra oomph. This solution is a few dollars compared to the $300 of repairing that window motor, so until I pay off some loans, this is perfect!

The things I really like about this clip are that you can turn the GPS device toward the driver. This is nice compared to others I've used where the device stays flat against the vents. The clips also seem pretty durable and lock into place, yet are easy to remove if necessary. Very happy with this item.
