Tops pop off in canning bath

Thought these would be great for the tomato jam I make. Almost immediately after I got my first batch in the water bath the lids started popping off. Now I won't trust any of these and have to run to the home store for new jars. Last year I used larger jars of the same design with no problems.

these are perfect little jars for gifts of my honey. i love the hex shape, reminds me of a honeycomb. i found they seal very well when placing the lid on and doing a half-reverse turn to find the better gripping point, then turning strong. look and feel high quality.

I have a very nice spice rack my son gave me when he was moving. In the meantime, he has returned to the area and married a very sweet girl. I have offered the rack, including the jars to my new daughter-in-law since it was my son's (her new husband) I purchased these jars for myself for my spices. We do not use too many spices, and I decided these 1.5 jars will be more than large enough for my husband & me. Now.... to find the magnetic holder for my new jars.
