I HAVE TRIED BUYING FROM SPECIALTY STORES , THEY WERE FLAVORLESS I ENDED BUYING THESE TO PUT IN AS WELL AND MY VANILLA IS TASTING BETTER NOT LIKE IT SHOULD. So far they are fresh and seem like good vanilla beans. I was slightly disappointed by the size as I've purchased beans from other suppliers and the beans were much bigger.
