Amazing!! I was skeptical at first, but one day within 3 weeks I felt it grew over night! I have two pups and was tired of them dragging in mud when it rain from the puddles. So I decided to grow some grass to help with it! It's sure did! The grass turned out to be so nice and soft even! Also, very green! I was so happy with the product I went to buy a second bag! Definitely recommend! I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it's definitely better than muddy paws! The seeds stayed when it was raining too! I was so afraid the rain would definitely wash them away, but it stayed put!

After finishing a fall pool install and complete backyard re-grade, my entire yard was dirt. We are going to re-sod in the spring, but I desperately needed something now. I threw out this seed January 1 and for the next couple days temperatures were at or near 32 degrees. Then we got torrential rains in excess of 3 inches. The seed pooled in various areas of the yard and I thought for sure it was a lost cause. I came out this morning to see little sprouts! I may only end up patches of super thick grass but I can't believe this workhorse seed has done its job with everything stacked against it!

this was awesome!!! I planted these seeds and by day 3 I saw sprouts, the next morning it was like some magic fairy land, by day 10 all the neighbors were agog. the grass is greener here, hahaha....I love it, it feels so soft and moves with the breeze...we were all so shocked that the kids begged me not to mow it, it would seem wrong somehow...it is just so pretty. it is delicate! so watch your traffic areas...I did lay it down with a mix of packaged compost and soil and actually hand spread, then worked it in with a rake, and I watered like a soldier. We have decided to buy it every year because our local heat will be too much for it.

Have used this annual rye grass for several years now and have had positive results each time. Broadcast seed liberally, water and within ten days it comes up nicely helped by some moderate rainfall during that period. If you're wanting winter ground cover enjoy the greenery I recommend the product. Of course you will need to mow periodically, some people may not want that chore in winter.
