Fits and works well but product description misinterpreting. Ripping after less than 3 weeks

While it fits just fine an the install was easy, I have an issue with the pockets on it. Perhaps I should have read a little more at the item description, but the photos show make it seem as it it's double sided: one side having pockets and the other side without pockets. This is not the case. It is only one sided. After having it in for less than three weeks the stitching in the middle between the two pockets is already ripping the kick mat where our 1.5 year old sits. We haven't put anything in the pockets, so it's not a weight issue along with our son kicking it. It would be nice if the mat were either double sided (so you could choose to use or not use the pockets) or if they stated more clearly what was being purchased. As said before, the photos make it seem like it's double sided. I would get this again, but not with the pockets. I was quite disappointing by the ripping so soon.

We haven't had the mats for long, so this is more about first impressions. When I opened the package we were really happy with the material and the quality. I especially loved the way they installed in my F-150. Not having a band wrapped around the seat is what sold me on the purchase and the way they anchor beneath is very satisfying. We didn't use the extra straps at all. I can still reach behind them to get to the seat pocket if I need to. They look nice in the truck. The kids are definitely testing them out in a big way! Sneakers haven't made any marks on the mats. Dirt brushes right off.

Oh yeah. My brand new SUV's driver side seat was getting bashed by my not so new but still new enough to be in a car seat child. These mats work great. I don't use the bottom strap that potentially goes around the seat, but it's not really needed. It's a nice touch to have it if you really wanted something super tight around the bottom, but I didn't want anything like that. The way the regular set up straps are laid out is plenty adequate to keep the thing secure. It might have been good - for me - if they sold these as singles as I only needed one, but whatever. The goal of course is to get the kid to not kick the seat back and that's getting better, but in the meantime, these protect the leather.

I had purchased a known baby brand of kick mats for the backs of the front seats of my SUV. The bands that velcroed around the head rest eventually stretched out and the mat never fully covered the back of the seat. But these Heavy Duty Kick Mats have hooks for the head rest posts, bungee cords for hooking at the bottom and underneath the back of the seats. And there is an optional cord that can wrap around the entire seat for even more coverage of the kick mats, but honestly we didn't need it. These are awesome, thick, durable kick mats that truly cover almost the entire back of the driver and passenger seats. I would definitely recommend them!
Quality kick mat that doesn't clash with light colored leather

Love these kick mats! They came really well packaged in a rolled tube with instructions. The material is of good quality, and although the color says Olive Tan, it goes well with Acura's parchment leather. The one thing I would caution--in a seat that has electronics (i.e. heated or ventilated), there's a LOT going on under the seat. I had to break out my headlamp (sexy, I know.... ) and look carefully where I hooked the 2 hooks on the bottom of the kick mat. The instructions suggest hooking them to the wire coils under the seat, but there wasn't much exposed under the my seat that wasn't a moving/electronic part. It's totally possible, but just go slowly! Hooking the bottom does make the kick mat really secure, and it lays nice and flat. These cover the entire seat back (of front seats) in an Acura MDX. I received 2 mats in my pack.
