Surprising solid for the price

The media could not be loaded. Like many other reviews, there is a learning curve to using this DMX especially if you're new at it and I am but it really works great and has been fun learning how to use. The unit is really solid, I expected something kind of flimsy but that was not the case. I am running eight devices right now but plan on adding 3 more. Watch YouTube videos on how to use a DMX 512 because they all basically work the same.

The media could not be loaded. I had bought a couple of lights and had been using them on auto but wanted to start controlling them. Having zero frame of reference, I watched a couple of youtube videos on DMX controllers to figure out how to program the channels to connect with the controller. Once I did that it was alot of fun! Probably worth finding/printing the manuals for the lights you have so you can better understand what each channel does. I'm still trying to figure out how to do chases/scenes (the directions are translated from Chinese I'm pretty sure and challenging to implement). Otherwise, this is an enjoyable and fairly inexpensive way to start out if you are doing lighting for fun or for DJing.

After I learned dmx it was easy to set up. I use it with 2 par 32 lights 1 moving and 1 disco light. Very basic setup but it's nice to be able to control all lights from one area and not the remote. And yes it you still want to use the sound activated mic on the lights you can just slid one of the sliders all the way up and presto.
