Fixed flickering and randomness issues
Ben B.✓ Verified Purchase•December 26, 2023
I was running 9 DMX fixtures in series at over 100ft of control cable and on different AC circuits. The cables I was using were DMX cables and not audio cables. The lights would randomly flicker and do strange things. Probably not a problem at a party, but for a church service, not a good thing! I read reviews of this distribution box and bought one. It FIXED everything. The lights are solid and don't go into strange gyrations. For $100, it solved the problem I was having. Would highly recommend it!

Nice little unit, mounts unobtrusively on truss. About 6 straight days of use so far and no issues.

We had a splitter die on us the first day of a weekend of shows, during the Halloween season. We had a few more weekends to go, so we NEEDED a replacement. Nobody local carried them, so I turned, as I often do, to Amazon, knowing it would be shipped to me...
For this price, I didn't expect much...a (cheap!) molded plastic shell and something that could tide us over until we could get something else was as much as I was hoping for...
Machined aluminum case, securely fit connectors...the included velcro straps made for easy installation at the most convenient location on or near our lighting grid...isolated output channels (so no potential line noise from one messing up the others)--or at least that's what they made it sound like, and I observed nothing to lead me to doubt them...I was impressed with what I got!
I can't speak to longevity...we only used it for three days each week for about a month, so it's not like it got a serious workout, but it was still in perfect operating order when we took our lights down after Halloween. I'm seriously considering asking my boss to get four or five more to have on hand just in case...splitters like this can make a world of difference in how much of a headache your lighting rig is! And this did the job as well as some splitters we have that cost several times more money.
