Though the box was much smaller than I'd anticipated, and came wrapped in a lot of plastic, the reveal was completely worth it! The jewels were SO BEAUTIFUL!!! All six jewels are roughly the size of a hacky-sack ball, (perhaps), and they are made of a tough glass material. But, don't take just my word for it... hold one of these little beauties up to the light and watch the prismatic color spectacle bounce off of the walls as you sit MESMERIZED! If it weren't for the slightly sharp points on the end of each jewel, it would make THE PERFECT GIFT for your "Little Princess".

I looked for a small red gem to hold in my pocket as a type of fidget item. Found these and decided to go for a larger size. I'm totally impressed with the kit I bought. The red unfortunately doesn't reflect light like the others it's too deep dark but overall having the whole set is worth it. They all seem so hard that they can cause injury if thrown. They have weight. The light bounces off them nicely. I decided to just display them at the base of the tv cause the tv light bounces off them

I bought the 55mm (2") to use as wine bottle toppers. They look pretty, and reflect the light. They obviously don't "seal" a bottle but for entertaining purposes they set an elegant tone. I get a lot of compliments on them. They are are perfect accompaniment when gifting someone with a bottle of wine.
The colors a brilliant, not cloudy. The 55mm gems have a nice heft to them.

I rarely write reviews but this item exceeded my expectations. I bought these very affordable glass gemstones for a children's treasure hunt. The idea was that they would find the gemstones and trade them in for prizes. The problem was no one wanted to trade in the gemstones!

These are excellent quality K9 glass gemstones. K9 glass has a higher refractive index (ie. more "sparkly") than regular glass but not as high as lead crystal (but less brittle and far less expensive). This set includes 8 fully colored K9 glass gemstones (red, burnt orange, yellow, green, blue, light purple, pink, and clear). These are not color coated but solid color throughout.

Initially one of the gemstones I received was defective and had a noticeable air bubble. I contacted the seller and they promptly responded and replaced the defective item. I am very happy with the customer service.

Finally, it is important to note that these are precision cut glass gemstones. The points on the pavilions are sharp and, as is the case for all glass items, they can chip or get scratched. But as I mentioned above, I used these in a kids treasure hunt and there were no issues besides the kids not giving them back.
