You can pay more but for very little money you can have a really great guitar.

Great guitar at this price point. Want to make it better? For so little money you can add lighter strings, a bone saddle, bone nut and pins. It's not necessary but they may help some. A bunch of small improvements put together make a big difference. What really does make a difference is having the action set up properly. Lowering it made it much easier to play for me. The finish and craftsmanship on this guitar is excellent.
Beautiful dusk sun guitar

Beautiful dusk sun guitar. I was concerned how small it was going to be, but it turned out to be the perfect size for me. I feel that the natural size guitar is too big, so this one was sized just right. I was informed that it was easier to play as well due to its size. Very happy with the purchase and I'm confident that it would get me to the level I want to be.
as it is the best reviewed "budget' guitar out there apparently

After much research, I purchased this guitar, as it is the best reviewed "budget' guitar out there apparently. It didn't let me down. Beautiful sound, great classic style. Even the factory string that it came pre strung with sounded great. A week later, it is still holding tune reasonably well. A great guitar for a first timer, or someone looking for an extra guitar for travel or fun.
AMAZON IS SLIPPIN!

I ordered 2 of these guitars. The first one came in with the head stock completely severed. And the second came with about a 3 inch crack in the same location. I feel like the strings are the only thing leasing life on the head stock. Sucks too because i know they're pretty decent guitars. They have a bright tone, and the actions usually not terrible. Solid for what it is. Sounds nice with a slide too. But amazons slipping. I offered to buy a higher model if they offered to give me a reasonable price. Shoot me some crazy online one time discount code?? You ask for one every time i check out. But they offered me a $50 gift card for after i made the purchase. Customer service was really nice though. I'll just spend the money elsewhere. And I'm an Amazon patron. They have no idea how many people i've referred and turned into Amazon patrons themselves.
Could have been 5 stars

I'm going to break this review into pros and cons. Pros: Top notch wood, electronics, wonderful bound neck and great machine heads. The action/fretboard are wonderful (after being setup). Sounds beautiful!, and more so if you take my advice. One last pro, all of the cons are easily remedied. Cons: The saddle, nut, and bridge pins are plastic (kind of like putting crap tires on a good sports car). I replaced the saddle and nut with tusk, and for the bridge pins I went with brass. It was like the volume went from a 4 to a 8, and the tone went from nice to beautiful and singing. It was about a 40$ upgrade, that made it sound like a thousand dollar guitar. This is the first time I bought a guitar before playing it. The gamble more than paid off. Been playing guitar for 25 years, and I could recommend this guitar to hobbyist or pro (with proper adjustment).
