nice packaging, bright lights that do not run very hot
Great quality and color, OK light output. 2014 Mazda6 H11 fogs.

I installed these to a 2014 Mazda6 with the dealer added halogen (H11 bulb) fog light option.

First, these lights are REALLY well built. They are exactly the same size as the H11 bulbs they replace and do not need heatsinks or fans. They come with a small allen wrench to loosen the screw if you need to make changed to the orientation of the lighting surface (the LEDs should always be horizontal). This turned out to be important as the mounting bracket was set at a 45* angle on my car.

I really like the color. It is a cool yellow - not amber - and works well for fog, rain and snow. That being said, they are not all that bright on my car. I am not sure that this is a bulb issue as the fog lights are awul on the Mazda6 - so awful that they are totally invisible while driving. They only light up the first three feet of the road in front of the car and this is hidden by the nose. The LEDs didn't change this, but I think it is more a reflector issue than a bulb issue.

So they probably would work well with better designed fogs, but for the Mazda6 with dealer applied halogen fogs, I did not see any improvement. Four stars because I think this is more a reflector issue than a bulb issue.
Adjustable

My problem with the older style led bulbs I've used in the past was that the they weren't adjustable. The driver's side E46 M3's fog lamp bulb is installed at an angle compared to the passenger's side. Previous led bulbs I used produced an uneven beam pattern and caused some glare. The Calais bulbs can be adjusted so you can aim them properly to produce an even beam pattern. I didn't expect them to be ultra bright and they aren't. But even with HIDs in the E46 M3's fog lamp housing, the light it produced wasn't as bright as they could be. This was a limitation in the fog lamps' design. Anyway, so far so good. Only time will tell how long they will last.

Just an update. Following JDM Star's instruction video found on YouTube, I positioned the bulbs so that the LEDs are facing up and down in the fog light housing. As a result, I was able to gather a little more light output out of the bulbs reflected on the ground much more evenly than when I positioned the LED bulbs up and down. With the LEDs positioned up and down, the beam was uneven with less light towards the middle. Can't wait to try the 6000K version of these bulbs. And BTW, adjusting the LEDs position can't get any easier with only one screw to loosen and tighten. Just make sure you don't over tighten it as the seller suggested.

This is an awesome bulb when you have limited space behind the lamp housing. Highly recommended for fog lamps as fog lamps generally don't generally throw enough light even with brighter bulbs like HIDs anyway and are only meant for illuminating the road right in front and front sides of your car. BTW, the yellow emits just enough yellow color on the ground; enough to provide contrast when you need it, while still looking yellow inside the lamps. In contrast, a 3000K HID bulb looks as yellow in the lamp housing and to color on the ground is just as yellow. To me it was a bit too much yellow on the ground so I'd rather use the Calais Golden LED bulbs.
Closest in size to H3 Halogen bulb, check depth in your lamp housing, pattern is a bit different.

I bought the Calais LEDs intending to replace Halogen H3 bulbs in old 80s style fog lamps. These are a bit longer than a halogen H3 bulb, but closer than many other brands. You should measure the depth inside you lamp from the base flange to the lens. Some testing showed me that older amber fog lamps wasted much of the light from the H3 halogen bulbs. The yellow Calais COB LED light passes through the old amber lenses without attenuation. The lamp appears much brighter and the color is more like the LED. The projected light pattern is expanded, with some light spillage out beyond the designed range of the lens. This is because the COB elements are much larger than the halogen filament and the elements spread the light out beyond the designed focal point of the lamp's reflector.
There is more light projected up and down than with the halogen bulbs and the light fall-off is less sharp than with the halogen bulb. But these will be the consequences of any COB LED in a lamp designed for an H3 halogen bulb.
Overall the Calais LEDs are more than bright enough for a fog or driving lamp and run much cooler. They appear to be assembled well. One issue may be that the index notch in the LED may not align the COB elements properly in your lamp. I don't recall the proper notch position on a standard H3 bulb. This is very important to getting proper light projection, so check and compare your lamp housing against the LED bulb.
Great Light Output, Smooth Install

My Subaru STI came with a set of what appears to be an ebay fog light kit that was installed by the previous owner. I had never really used them in the past because the light output was pretty dismal but since recently I had upgraded my high beams and reverse lights to LEDs, I really started to like the appearance, output, and the lower current demand of LEDs. Initially I was going to purchase a set of replacement H7 LED bulbs from a well known company that I purchased my other LEDs from. Although I had been pleased with the high beams and reverse lights I was disappointed to learn from them that their LED H7 fog light bulb output was actually lower than OEM. Since my fog lights originally had Osram bulbs, I figured it would be a huge downgrade in usability.

Not wanting to purchase an expensive downgrade, I decided to look on Amazon for additional options and went with these. These are much cheaper and I am very pleased with the results! Initially I was a bit worried with the other reviews stating fitment issues, but I was pleasantly surprised with how great the fitment was and how smooth the installation went. I also immediately noticed an improvement in useable light output!

Paired with a nice light up fog light switch that looks almost OEM, I now have a very nice looking fog lights setup that I also use as daytime running lights.
