These are brighter than the Hikari HyperStars that I have tested by a noticeable margin with a much better beam pattern and are significantly brighter than any halogen. I would also be willing to bet these can go toe-to-toe with top end HIDs without all the HID problems.
I run these in a 10th generation Honda Civic in the low beam and fog light positions and the result is amazing. Beam pattern is not flawless but like 90% there which is easily good enough for me. In foggy low visibility these have huge punch and at the low angle are not blinding which is perfect. In the low beams they have the punch of a semi they work well with the horizon cutoff to prevent blinding everyone.
The lights make a noticeable hum in the cabin when my engine is off but nothing can be detected when the engine is on. The strong fans allow these to handle constant use in Las Vegas heat, not to mention surviving the desert dust which is a real killer here.

I purchased these bulbs along with another brand in the 30,000 LM range. These had an excellent beam pattern and brightness also very easy to install. Compared to the other brand these were noticeably dimmer. For my preference I wanted the brightest for my application and choose the other brand and returned these.
