Luckily this rod came with 2 top pieces. On my first use my rod tip broke, but fortunately I was able use the 2nd top piece. Been using this rod for the past few months now and I've had no problems, I actually really like it, but was bummed about breaking the other piece. Customer service contacted me to ask how the rod has performed. I told them about the broken piece and they apologized for the issue and are going to be sending me replacements. The rod gets 4 stars because of the break, but the customer service gets 5 stars for the quick resolution and replacement. For the money and the service, I'd recommend this rod.

Works pretty good for the price but snapped in half on 2# chain pickerel. I do not like how the top doesn't fully seat but I was glad to have a backup upper part of the rod when it broke

Bought this setup back in June and have been using it with tons of success. It has great feel and enough backbone to pull in some hogs! Unfortunately, last week (first week of Oct.) the tip on my MH tip broke off during a cast with a whopper plopper 110. It just snapped.
