Effective way to get started
Jim MNovember 14, 2017
I got this kit about a year ago, and I'm glad I did. It has been really helpful in getting familiar with Arduino development. Although the sensors and components are definitely on the "cheap" side, it would still be more expensive to buy all this stuff piecemeal. Everything has worked for me and provided enough variety to stay interested and explore the possibilities. One component (the RFID reader) did require soldering to connect the header pins. Everything else was ready to plug into the breadboard.

Strongly recommended if you're totally new to electronics/Arduino and don't know where to start. There is plenty here to play around with and ignite the imagination.
Excellent Kit

It has everything you need to get started. The tutorials give you some useful excercise with components. I bought the Make book with this, which has better resources for coding, but this has all the components you need.
Very happy customer here

Wow. Thank you for an incredible product. I am downloading your tutorial software now. I cannot believe how much stuff I was able to receive with this order and I'm very excited to get into it. What an incredible deal!!!
Thanks again. Very happy customer here!!!
The go-to starter kit

Favorite kit so far, even ordered a second for my dad. Lots of sensors, good selection of passive components, good jumper cables and breadboard. Arduino works well on both of the kits, clean components and soldering. The included tutorials are okay and are definitely enough to get you up and running but there's better stuff out there. Only negatives I can think of are the case, if you invert it, it dumps components into other compartments and is a bit fragile. For like $8, harbor freight can fix that :D so, no big deal if the case isn't stellar. Great value.
Good little kit for getting started with Aduino

All of the components worked perfectly. Tutorial was a bit hard to follow and some aspects seem to have been skipped, but there is enough material available on the internet that you should be able to find help working with any of the components or software. Helps a lot if you already know a bit about electronics and computers and hardware connectivity.
