Nice, spicy, and low carb
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 11, 2017
I love the nutritional counts for this epic bar. It's nice to have high protein with little to no sugar added. I also really like the spiciness which is pretty hot. However, it is fairly salty like other reviewers have mentioned. At first it didn't bother me so much but the more I have them the more I notice it. And I am someone who loves salt.
Perfectly Fine - but Prefer the Venison
Caleb✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 3, 2017
I love Epic Meat bars in general. Our favorite is the 100% Grass Fed Venison with Salt and Pepper. I believe that these actually out sell that one. I am basically here to say that I am not sure why. These are just fine - but not worth the price. If you are looking for an Epic bar to try - Go with the Venison. If you have already tried the Venison and want to branch out - These are perfectly suitable, just nothing to make them stand out.

That said - I absolutely appreciate the intent behind all of these Epic bars. The availability of 100% Protein that is animal based, and produced sustainably is something that needs to be rewarded. This is exactly the type of company that deserves support.
A great salty snack - Whole30 compliant

Great salty snack, like a beef jerky. Clean diet ingredients (no added sugar / fillers). This one is a good choice if you are looking for Whole30 compliant food to carry with you on those busy days where you might not be able to stop for lunch.
I do like the salmon
Mesmee✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 17, 2017
I have tried a few varieties of this bar. I do like the salmon, nice flavor, a little too salty. The main issue though with the salmon is that these are so dry. I understand this is a dried product but I have had the bison, venison, and chicken and none were this dry. I suppose it is the consistency of the fish. I prefer to eat salmon but these were not as good as the others I tried.
What is this white stuff?! UPDATED with Answer!

Original:
So, ever since I've discovered Epic in Stores, I love their products. So, I thought why not order subscribe and save and have them all the time!
They arrived and have this white coating on them in random spots. It looks like mold, but could be anything. I have no idea and am scared to eat them until I hear back from Epic.
I currently have a call and email into the company and hope to hear back. Once I do, I will update my review.

UPDATED!!

The white residue is NORMAL! I repeat normal. AS LONG AS the vacuum seal HAS NOT been compromised and it's within the expiration date.
It's called fat migration, where the fat in the bar migrates to the outside of the bar. Epic responded awesomely and sent me a new box. They reassured me it's not a food safety issue and it's more of a cosmetic problem that they are currently working on. So, there ya go!
