Best for jet airliner pilots
Jean Bautista•July 22, 2018
Very good, I have been using them since March at the beginning it was difficult for me get accostummed with this kind of headset(all my life I used telex)but nowadays I love the UFQ, are the best headset I ever used in my entire life, sometimes I compare with the telex and the sound quality is very different. Ufq has very high sound quality and the ANR works great even when you are listening music. I love it
NOT for open cockpit

This is a good quality headset. The mic and headset are nice with great sound quality. The only drawback is that it doesn't work well for open cockpit flying. There is a lot of wind noise over you ears. With a closed cockpit it works very well!
Not for me

I didn't like this product. The mic often wouldn't stay where it was originally positioned. Further, even despite configuring an open squelch, the mic wasn't great at picking up communication even when it was situated correctly at my mouth. Stinks because I really wanted a moderately priced in-ear, halo type configuration. I just bought another, pair (ear cupping) which I like and may test out in-ear pairs again some day down the road.
Great headset! Especially for the price.

I bought this headset to replace a Lightspeed Mach 1 in ear headset that has been discontinued by Lightspeed and I'm glad I did! I'm using it in an Embraer E175 cockpit. The price can't be beat, it sounds great and the option to be able to use all sorts of after market foam ear tips is a plus. The foam ear tips that come with the headset along with the way the ear bud is molded to fit in your ear keeps the head seat quiet. It does take some trial and error and minor adjustments to the headband and microphone boom while in the cockpit to get the right fit and proper microphone placement. It has an aux chord input and my purchase came with a blue tooth adapter as a bonus, makes it very convenient to use my phone when needed. The foam ear tips that came with it don't need be rolled when placing them in your ear, you just push them in, that makes it really easy to pop one out and get in a quick conversation with anyone not using the intercom if needed. It comes with a great carrying case that protects the headset and doesn't take up too much space in my bag. I had a few questions after I received the headset and when I emailed Jack and UFQ their customer service response was quick and excellent.
Extremely uncomfortable

I'm on day 3 of my trip and wish I had brought along my A20s. This is the first time I'm using this type of headset so I can't compare to the other brands out there, but wearing these are much more painful than A20 "headset clamp!" The noise reduction is adequate in my opinion, but the piece that hooks onto your ears is giving me a headache and I can't seem to adjust it properly. A cushion of some sort would work wonders, but overall, I am I satisfied and will be returning these.
