Works great
Amazon CustomerAugust 14, 2017
These products work great. I would recommend adding a small amount of flux on the wire and use a heat gun. Also just fo r added protection I would put heat shrinking tubing on the wire. Use low temp on the heat gun and wait for the solder to liquify.
Easy, solid, waterproof

These worked great for repairing breaks in our underground dog fence. They were super easy to use with a heat gun. We'll see how well the last when buried but they seem to provide a solid, waterproof connection.
Saves time crimping and soldering connections. Heat gun only!

Wish I would have found these long ago, save time soldering and crimping.

Use a heat gun on Low setting, start from the center using circular motions towards the sides. The sheathing will shrink and hold the connection, solder begins to melt and spreads well. Water tight seal, used on boat trailer and submerged the trailer for 5 minutes. Lights were still on while under water!
Great Product!

These worked great... I used them to make connections between my truck wiring loom and the headlight connector pigtail. They worked first time and I have checked them a couple of time and they are still holding.
Love it, works.

Used 4 of them so far to mend low voltage outdoor light. I used a heat gun and keep swing it back and forth and around it. when I could see the solder move I stopped. On joint keep shorting so I put the heat gun on it again and waited till i saw the solder flow. Haven't had trouble since. Heres what I learned, hold it with pliers, when you see the solder flow stop and blow on it to stiffen it up. I left the wire laying on rocks for a day to be sure it worked, that's when I found one connection wasn't right. when I was sure it worked I wrapped it with electrical tape and buried it under the rocks. the real test will be if it holds throughout the winter.
