Perfect kit. No, really, this is a perfect beginner kit. I've already used the components for various beginner projects with my Raspberry Pi Zero and it has everything you need to start. I've already used one of the 10K potentiometers, a couple of the buttons, the LEDs, and resistors from all the bands of them except for the mega-ohm ones.

Overall, a great little kit! I feel like I'll eventually use the parts in this kit. As far as the CD with sample projects, I was hoping to see a bit more on the Raspberry Pi. It's mainly Arduino, but that's alright. Still a good value.

Good basic kit to get you started with single board computers and microcontrollers. Resistors are good for voltage dividers and pull up resistors and other uses. I haven't used the display yet, but it is an industry standard, so should be no problem. Software included.

This is a well priced, basic kit for either raspberry Pi or Arduino. This kit will most definitely get you start with your little projects. I would recommend that beginners might want to add a DHT-11 temperature sensor to their order. Combined with the lcd 1602, you could make a pretty neat weather station. Add WiFi to it, and you can post uour weather data to Weather Underground (wunderground.com).
Great kit, but the pots have no interface to the Pi. You need an ADC to use them.
