My 9 year old daughter really wanted a messenger bag. Backpacks are much more popular, so it was difficult. We tried another one in Amazon, but it was too small for a binder and very cheaply made. This one is very good quality and everything fits in her bag including her binder and lunchbox. Happy happy!

High quality materials... well padded and the purple is just perfectly pretty with the pink... as she described. Has more than enough room for everything came with a lock as well. The strap is also well padded so doesn't hurt your shoulder of its little on the heavy side.
