50 years ago when I complimented a business colleague on her smooth skin and gorgeous complexion, she told me she exfoliated her skin once a week with Boraxo! I began using it as an exfolilant as well as for general use. It is pure, free of contaminants, and other strange ingredients that irritate my sensitive skin. I simply wet a little in my palm while showering, then very gently scrub my face and rinse. Soft, smooth skin. I also use it on my arms, legs, and feet. It works wonders. I love it. I'm adding years, but my complexion is still pretty smooth and free of wrinkles

This is an awesome product that I have used for several years. Doesn't dry or damage skin. Great for oily skin.

If you worry about whether your socks are made out of organic cotton, or you buy deodorant from a commune in the California hills where each batch is hand crafted by long-haired virgins- THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU! This stuff will probably take paint off a battleship. It is made of un-pronounceable chemicals. You wet your hands, shake a bit into your palm, then try not to let the guy next to you see you tear up a bit as you basically sand your hands. That said, it works better than ANY product I have ever used in my 16 year career.

I am a Machinist. I get what we call "perma-grime" on my hands. Grease, dirt, and general nastiness gets embedded in every little crack or valley on my hands. I have used (and continue to use) heavy duty pumice-soaps, which work 95% of the time. This is for the other 5%. This will remove anything (including a layer and a half of skin). It is not gentle, it will quite literally scour your hands. I would imagine it feels similar to scrubbing up with steel wool.

If you work hard and get dirty, this is your soap. Save it for the worst of the worst. Also, it helps to keep a bottle of all-natural organic honey-based flaxseed hand lotion next to the sink to put on after you use this stuff.

My husband loves the Borax soap, because it gets dirt and grease off his hands. It is gritty, but does not dry out one's hands.

I have used plenty of grit style soaps, but boraxo always has them all beat. Cuts through the worst dirt and grease without totally destroying your hands. I have yet to find a mess on my hands that boraxo couldn't clean up. All I need now is to get them to buy it at work!
