Overall this does help my posture. I gave 3 because it's really bulky. I was hoping to find something I could wear under clothing without it being obvious, and this will not do that, at all. It looks like I have massive bulk under any type of clothing. I thought perhaps being winter and wearing sweaters I could sort of cover it. You can't. I am petite as well and it feels like it cuts high under my armpits in such a way as to cause irritation and be in the way. That part surprised me, as I would assume it cuts even closer there on people of more average build. So I can use it around the house, but still am in search of a more practical answer that I can wear under clothes.
Perfect for my needs, helps to ease neck and upper back pain.

This does exactly what I needed it to do. I find that it's too bulky under clothes, even sweatshirts but I usually only wear a few hours a day and it is easily adjusted and can fit over whatever I'm wearing. Start by wearing it for short periods of time, say 15-20 minutes and work your way up to a couple hours a day. I noticed very quickly that it helped begin new muscle memory helping me to maintain better posture. This has made a big difference in my neck and upper back pain by helping me to learn and maintain better posture. I highly recommend it.
Best one for the money!

This is pretty much exactly what I've been looking for. So far 3 people (including me) have tried it and the consensus is that there's plenty of pressure to keep your shoulders back, as long as you're not actively fighting against it. It's also more comfortable than another one I tried (which was more expensive too, go figure), but it does chafe under your arms after a while, but I guess it's impossible to avoid completely.
My back/shoulder muscles get sore 5-10 minutes after I put it on so I've been wearing it in 30 minute increments so as not to burn myself out. I try to do it a couple times a day, though I haven't been super regular about it. Obviously for about the first hour after you take it off you're going to have fantastic posture, but I have noticed a bit of a long term change as well, so here's hoping!

Great Thoracic Support

Great quality, and I love the way it can be adjusted. I started using thoracic bracing a couple of years ago as my hands/arms would go numb while holding the steering wheel, and my upperback/shoulders would ache after long work days at my desk. My Chiropractor recommended one as a helpful posture tool to keep you feeling better throughout your day. I am proof that it works, and I recommend it highly. Now, I will say this to anyone who gets one of these for the first time: until you get used to wearing it, you will have discomfort under your arms. Start by wearing it short periods at a time until you get used to it, and don't become discouraged if you do find it bothersome as that is completely normal. Also, it is not meant to be worn constantly, so remember that once you have completed the activity that you needed assistance with to take it off. It is not to replace your muscles, it is to assist you with tasks where you need reminding to keep proper posture such as sitting at a computer desk, driving a car, lifting objects, etc. Make it just tight enough that if you start to slump it will cause pressure, thus subconsciously reminding you to correct your posture. These things really are an amazing tool.

I have Fibromyalgia, progressing cervical degenerative disc disease, severe osteoarthritis & have endured 2 fusion surgeries over the past year, with more to go. I have been unable to gain strength in my shoulders & the pain in my upper back has been excruciating. I ordered this brace after discussing the options with my physical therapist, in hopes of any help &/or relief I could find. & I am so grateful I did! - it is comfortable, it is soft, it pulls my shoulders where they need to be; which relieves the pressure in my back & holds my shoulders in the right position to actual accomplish simple tasks that I could not without increasing my pain. Whenever I catch myself curving forward increasing my pain, or even just struggling with a task, I put it on for as long as it feels good & it really does offer relief while keeping my posture in check. It helps greatly for extended car rides as well! Its easy to hide if you wear it over a black shirt & soft enough to wear underneath. But... I am a 36 & ordered the medium. It fits perfectly, but there is no room for adjustment. So... If you are unsure of the size you need, go a size up! It wont be too big, it has adjustable Velcro.
