I developed plantar fasciitis over the last few years and tried multiple insoles in my various shoes to relieve the pain. These insoles worked well for me in the sneakers I use to walk 5 miles over paved somewhat uneven bike path. I also used them in different shoes to work out at home. They did the job well in both cases and I have no issue recommending them to anyone that is looking for firm arch support and comfort while walking.

Got these for my husband and it really helped his feet.

I've tried many different brands, including custom orthotics. These create a good balance between helping the plantar f and the heel spur while not bothering the back or my knees. I keep 3 pairs going - 1 for workout shoes, 1 for dog walking, and 1 for everyday. They all tend to last me about 3 months maybe a bit longer, I would consider myself medium sized, no heavy or light.

These just arrived. I replaced a "new" pair of gel insoles with these to see how well they work. They feel just like new shoes used to feel when I was a kid. The arch support is...severe. I expect my arches to hurt for a few days while they get used to these insoles. After that, I suspect my feet will feel fine. The heel support in these is better than the gels. There is almost no toe cushioning in these. Tomorrow I have to be on my feet a lot. It will be a good test of them. Just in case though, I am taking the gels if this gets to be too much.

UPDATE: After wearing these for a whole day, my feet are sore and tired. But they hurt in a good way. My arches ache and need a rest, but I made it through the day with these insoles, and I am likely going to continue to use them, and eventually they will feel just fine, and hopefully will make my feet in general hurt less.

UPDATE 2: After wearing these two days on, two days off, and three days on, I can say these work very well. The first two days my feet were getting used to the extra arch support, and my feet were tired and sore at the end of each day. After the second set of three days, all the other pains in my feet are gone, and the arches are just tired, not really sore. This is how Orthotics work. Don't worry about these being "too hard"...they're supposed to be. If you get the softer ones, they won't work as well.

My right ankle is wrecked and needs to be surgically repaired. I work out on a seated elliptical, which is about as gentle a machine as you will find, but I found that it would still leave my ankle very sore and feeling weak after a workout.

I bought these to switch out inserts in a pair of Brooks Glycerin 17 running shoes and I could immediately feel that they provided support that the Brooks insoles didn't have, even though the profile seemed similar when I compared the 2.

What surprised me was that after working out, I didn't have the ankle pain that I was expecting, my ankle had no discomfort during or after the workout. I wore them for several hours afterwards and still no pain.

As far as fit, I wear a size 10 2E and was lucky that the version I ordered is a size 10 so it was a perfect fit right out of the package. In my opinion, trimming insoles down in length usually compromises fitment, so I was happy that these were my size.

I will be buying more of these for other shoes.
