I used these for snowboarding and im so glad I did. I didn't feel a thing while falling and I still don't feel a thing a couple days later. Saved my butt for sure.
The fit was a little odd though. It was pretty loose around the hips, even with leggings, and the waist (its high waisted) was pretty tight and would dig in a little. I just stuck the velcro part-way and it was better, but not sure if changing the size would have helped.

It runs small. I usually wear a medium but the reviews said that it ran small so I bought a large. It fit perfectly.
Had over a foot of fresh snow to contend with and figured that I would wear my new bum-guard so if I sipped, tripped or fell on the ice (and my bum) I would get to see how it worked in action!
I didn't fall. But, I wore it all day and forgot that I even had it on! So that says something.
Going to wear it when I roller skate. Which, the likelihood of my falling is much greater. HA !
