I got this one because I liked that it didn't have to be refrigerated and that ...

Why: My 2 little guys were both on antibiotics for the first time in their lives and I was worried about what that would do to their gut health. I knew we needed a probiotic but wasn't sure which one to get. I got this one because I liked that it didn't have to be refrigerated and that I could just stir it into their normal drinks. I also appreciated that I could throw a few pouches into my purse and give it to them if we were on the go.

Real life: My 1 year old took it in a cup of water diluted with a little juice and my 5 year old took it with a cup of water. Neither even noticed that it was there, so it must be truly tasteless.

Conclusion: I don't know how to tell that it's working, but I am going to assume that it is. Grateful that both got a whole dose down with no complaints. Hurrah!
Corn Oil suspended probotics for a healthy gut? Not so much.

I'm not really sure that probotics suspended in corn oil is exactly contributing to a healthy gut. Calling something "non-GMO" or organic doesn't make it good quality. There are already so many horrible additives and crappy quality, processed foods out there, and it's sad that we're now okay with companies doing this to babies. I haven't seen any positives in adding it to my daughter's bottles, and have already purchased a good quality probotic powder as a replacement. Fair warning to parents who are particular about food quality - corn oil has no place in anyone's diet and surely not a tiny baby with a developing immune & digestive system.
Works ok

I honestly could not tell too much of a difference with this probiotic but it was helping a little, I think. I had a very fussy baby prior to adding probiotic to her once a day bottle. She seemed to fuss a little less when she got them. However, I think there are better and more effective brands out there.
Seems to work for our baby...

We started using these for our baby when she developed severe diaper rash due (possibly partly due to acidic pee) and constipation (especially when being fed formula only). Using a probiotic supplement seemed to help with pooping regularity as well as softening it up a bit. It is unclear whether it helped with the diaper rash and this was done in conjunction with several other related things (e.g. switching to "Maty's Healthy Products All Natural Baby Ointment, 10 Ounce"). We liked the overall results and still provide this probiotic supplement daily.
My baby started this when he was 5 weeks old, after having to take antibiotics

My baby got a UTI when he was 5 weeks old, which is a bacterial infection. He had to take antibiotics, which kill off good and bad bacteria, so the doctor recommend taking infant probiotic supplements to restore the good bacteria to his system. This has been working well for us. It has an oily consistency, has no smell, and you can see little bits in the dosage (see photo). My baby tolerates this, but he does not like it. Granted, he doesn't spit it out or cry when eating it, but he swallows very slowly. With his antibiotics, which were strawberry flavored, he actively sucked on the medicine until it was all gone then cried for more.

This comes with a pretty crappy dropper which is affixed to a lid for the bottle (it comes with 2 lids, one without the dropper). I don't recommend using this dropper. The supplier dropper cannot be cleaned because the top doesn't come off. Further, once you've suctioned the correct dosage (.33 ml), there's always a little bit that get stuck at the tip and cannot be pushed out of the dropper. Also, if you put the dropper in your baby's mouth, and then after that put it back in the bottle (it is a lid, after all), that's just going to contaminate the bottle with the bacteria from your baby's mouth. I mean, seriously, think what happens with a half-eaten yogurt container that you stick back in the fridge for a week "“ it grows mold; well, this bottle contains a 1-month supply! Probiotics are a bacteria that live in the intestines, and help support the immune system and aid with digestion. Improper storage can either kill them, in which case you'd basically be consuming spoiled/rotten food. Probiotic supplements are intended to boost the count of good bacteria in the intestines. So it is better to take this as a single dosage, followed by a meal to help it travel down there. As with any food product, this can spoil and grow mold. After opening, it's only good for 6 weeks, and it's better to refrigerate it. Regardless, it cannot be stored above 77* F or it will spoil.

I prefer the plastic syringe type applicators, where you can pull off the back and clean off the inside after each use (see the syringe type applicator that I am using). They give them out for free in the hospital. You need the 1 ml applicator, as the dosage is .33ml, so you fill it up to the 3.3 line.
