It's very easy to use. I keep one in my freezer at all times. Since it is flat I can lay down on it to ease my lower back pain. It will stay where I need it on top of my knee when I'm resting it.

I like that it holds its heat for a long time. I use it mostly for my neck and lower back; so I can easily sit and read, watch TV or work on my computer without any problems. This is actually the second one I have purchased because I damaged the first one. I carelessly entered the wrong time on my microwave (way too long) and the pack exploded. It is important to follow the instructions for the recommended time! I get some pretty stubborn muscle spasms and soreness which is eased quite a bit by the heat. The only change I would make would be to have it a little longer so it covered a wider area.
