it is seldom that I purchase something and think, "I would have paid 2-3x as much and still be satisfied!"
No, this is not an 'easy' install. It will take 45-60 minutes in total. But that's ok because you only have to install your projector once. The product is incredibly well built. The instructions are easy to follow with M1, M2, M3 ... labels that match the clever washers and bolts packaging. There are extra parts for every possible combination of fitting to various projectors. Even the BenQ that has 3, unevenly spaced mounting points (ugh!), I was able to flip one of the mounting feet around and get this unit to work with relative ease. The fourth arm/foot is simply not needed (could remove; I left it attached).
Because the armature has a single pin that slips into the spider (connected to the projector), you can quickly, repeatedly test-hang the unit to see if it is balanced and make adjustments until you get is just right. Once mounted to the ceiling, you need only do minor adjustment, firm the bolts with the provided Allen wrenches, and you are set until the next time you upgrade.
I am so glad I did not purchase the $50 or $150 options as this is all I need.
