The price is right...these locks are not of the very highest quality but I could program the code, and can open and close without too much fiddling. It might not stand up to serious thieves who come with tools, but it works well to secure a cabinet with AV equipment where we don't want any settings changed by laymen. It's been a month and so far the cabinet has stayed secure -- so the equipment still works! Sometimes you can deter meddling with a polite sign, but sometimes you have to take further measures.

I was a bit scared due to the low price of these locks (especially for a 2 pack) but I needed something for my gym locker. The TLDR: Great locks, easy to use, pain in the ass to figure out how to set.

The Good: I really like the quality feel, they are heavy and feel sturdy. Also once programmed, it is easy to use. Just FYI, the 4 digit code to unlock the lock must also be used to lock it as well, so dont spin the digits until you have relocked the lock.

The Bad: The instructions for setting the code is very difficult to follow. It simply says "turn to line up bump, push down, spin 90 degrees, then set". The pictures are just as brief. I finally got the lock set by following this and forcing it around, finally I got it set but when it came to the second lock I couldnt figure it out right away. So have patience, you will need it.

Overall, great lock, cheap, nice once programmed.

Lets start by saying that these locks are great if youre looking to lock up things that are unlikely to get burgled. If youre looking for a lock thats good for locking up a bike, or a shed/lockbox/whatever you would be better off using the $12 on a single master lock. Judging from how the case is put together, the locking mechanism is housed in a thing stamped metal casing that is ribbited together, I doubt it would survive anything more substantial than a kick or two from a sneakered foot. With that said, I actually do like the barebones design from an aesthetic perspective. If you want more security, without increasing the price, go to walmart and pick up one of those god awful rotary locks that you had back in gym, they suck to use, but I would say they are stronger than this.

What would these locks be good for? gym lockers, tool boxes that you want to keep kids out of, indoor storage cabinets, storage sheds that dont have high cost tools, etc.

UPDATE UPDATE! Save your money. The second lock has now changed it's combination by itself... I had to cut it off my locker. This is the worst garbage lock I have ever bought... even the ones from the dollar store work better. What is worse, the company takes no responsibility and doesnt even respond to messages. Amazon should ban them as a seller imo.
If I could give this one star... I surely would... with relish for having taken my money with no satisfaction!

UPDATE after a few months: I do not know what I did but somehow the lock closed with the combination changed and the hasp was not in the hole for it but rather swinging freely on the side of the lock. I cannot open it to close it properly and sent a message to the company... no answer.

What a great set of locks this was. I like that they are easily reprogrammable so you can use the same code for both or you can use a different code on each. We have used them to secure some outside gear and they do a great job of replacing a traditional padlock. They are much easier to open than a traditional combination lock, and just as sturdy. These are made out of sturdy metal and have a very clean appearance which makes them attractive and functional.
