Great for insulating heat

I'm a course official for high school snowboard races. Which means I have to stand on a hill in below 30 degree whether most times. Even with full snowboard gear on, I still get cold standing still. So I bought this, and it does a great job of trapping heat. I really love this product, it's made this season a lot more pleasant.
Compact tarps that worked well as an extra layer on my sleeping bag

I purchased these to go winter camping outside of Ely MN. The temps were pretty warm -- highs of about 36, and lows about +18F, with winds averaging 12-20 mph. I slept under the stars with a sleeping bag rated at +20F. I used one "blanket" as a ground cloth and a second one as a blanket over my bag. I was warm all night long. They are more compact than my usual "blue tarps" as ground cloth. Since it was so warm, I cannot be sure that the reflective coating [space blanket] helped or not.
Feral cat approved! Tears easily however.

I have made at least 30 little shelters for my outdoor feral cats and they all prefer the ones with these tarps. It's been freezing cold down below zero and they always run to the ones with these tarps. Coincidence? I think not. My cats are so smart when it comes to warmth. It would be awesome if they came in larger sizes too. I didn't see any if there are.
Update: Unfortunately, I had to take at least one star off because one of the corner grommets ripped just like the one bad review of this product in which the person showed the picture. But it did happen after some major winds. I'll repair it with gorilla tape. I noticed that it's only happened on the one side I used rope on. The ones directly hammered into the ground are doing fine so far. It's only been a few weeks, so idk. Still thinking about buying another one due to the warmth factor.
Further update: The ones I staked down with cord are torn in the corners even worse now.
Another update: I'm torn literally.lol! But I bought 2 more. I've wrapped them around myself and can really feel a difference. I probably won't be using cord with these since those are the only ones showing wear and tear. The other ones staked directly into the ground are still holding up fine. My cats absolutely love their shelters with these on them. I can put it on the worst made shelter and they'll pick it. So, I spoil them and are getting more. :/ I think I may put another regular type of tarp over these for even more warmth and to help avoid more tearing.

Good product - everyone should have one in their car during winter

I have a stay cat who has adopted me. I bought him a heated house to help him get through the winter months, which is great but not insulated at all. I bought this blanket to cover the top and sides of his house and it works like a charm. Really great at retaining his body heat in the little house!
the sun will be hitting that part of the patio for a good part of the day

I ordered this to use as a weather protective cover for a whole-house water softener-purification system, which had to be installed outdoors on the patio. During summer (which is extremely hot where I am), the sun will be hitting that part of the patio for a good part of the day, and this will keep the system protected from sun damage. It works very well like this, placed as a tent around the system. Already had some high winds since erecting it, and it held up perfectly.
