Takes getting used to. The first night, I wanted to return it. Each proceeding day, I would nap with it under my lower back- 15 minutes or so.
Actually, I found exercise before and after sleep more helpful for pain relief. Look up Psoas stretching on youtube.

This pillow is very comfortable but I would recommend purchasing the "Post surgery elevating leg rest pillow with memory foam top" along with this pillow. This pillow alone did not work for me. If you can only choose one of these, I recommend purchasing the elevating leg rest pillow first. Then you can add this IF you really need additional lumbar support.

I bought this because I have back problems and hoped that this would help me sleep. It is better than laying flat in bed but I felt that this could be a little softer memory foam. Nevertheless, I use it almost nightly.
Great for people who suffer from leg pain.
