I've owned many hiking boots over the years & these were comfortable right from the very start. Most of my previous boots from other manufacturers were okay after some various break-in periods, these were great the first time I put them on (no needed break-in period needed). They are also very durable. They have been through a lot & still look good. I like these so much that I just ordered another pair of the same boot for the future (I was afraid the style would be discontinued or changed). Both times I bought these boots I ordered 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe purchase so I could wear heavier hiking socks.
