I cannot attest to the durability of this shoe with long hikes. I use these for disc golf, and on that basis, the shoe gets a 5/5. For the price, I'm not surprised the shoe rubber separates from the cloth, or that it might not hold up to the elements. It may not be the best shoe quality but the heel treads are pretty nice and unique to me. Great fitting. 4 stars because these shoes aren't likely to last me long, that much is easy to tell out of the box.

I originally purchased these for work. They are a great shoe. Lightweight and sturdy. I like them so much that I ordered another pair for everyday wear. I will definitely order them again.

I've owned multiple pairs of the adidas shoes with this particular sole design. I absolutely love them for trail hiking and treking, where they are always sure on rocks and roots... but they aren't your typical, heavy and clunky hikers either. They are also light enough for a walk around the neighborhood or a game of one-on-one basketball with your teen in the driveway. And If you never want to get them dirty, they are very stylish shoes for simple everyday use. The solid stiff sole and wonderful arch support on these has eliminated the plantar fasciitis (heal pain) I used to experience with similar shoes that had overly cushy soles. The deep tread on these also lasts me much longer before I have to replace the shoes with a new pair. As long as Adidas maintains this shoe with this sole design I will keep purchasing more.

I bought the shoe for light hiking and have not been disappointed. It was lightweight, yet seems sturdy. It can be a little slippery on wet smooth surfaces such as marble or tile.

Due to being a little flat-footed, I needed arch support so I bought one separately and inserted into this shoe. After taking the original sole out, I inserted a New Balance sole and it fit perfectly.
