Great brown sugar replacement

This is so much better than regular sugar, its amazing. Ive tried some others like coconut sugar but unlike them, date sugar comes from the fruit itself. In fact, it is the fruit -- dried and then finely ground. That means it has the same amount of fiber as the whole fruit, as well as nutrients like vitamin B6, iron and magnesium. Since it's finely powdered fruit, it doesn't dissolve well in liquids like coffee of tea, but it is great added to other foods and can even be substituted at a 1:1 ratio in recipes that call for brown sugar.

This is great for use in things like oatmeal or baking where the date fiber blended in. Doesn't work in coffee/tea unless you like a very fiber-full last few sips. Not quite as sweet as raw or coconut sugar. Takes about 1.5 teaspoons to get a bowl of oatmeal subtly sweet.

This is excellent date sugar. Some people gave bad reviews because it wasn't as sweet as sugar and it won't dissolve. Well, that's what date sugar is. You will not find date sugar that is as sweet as sugar or that dissolves in liquids. That doesn't mean you should give this particular product a poor review. I have tried 3 different date sugar brands and this is the best one. I use it as a substitute for baked goods like banana bread and muffins.

I was hesitant to buy only because I wasn't sure of the taste but I am surprised! The taste is good, it seems less sweeter than sugar which is great because you can always build up the sweetness taste and i love the texture, it's very light, light than sand I would say. I put some in my cereal and it dissolved which i liked. I'm excited about this purchase!
