This review is for the fiberglass screen door so I cannot speak for the mesh version.
This is one of the best purchases I made in 2017. A real screen door wasn't an option since we live in a rental unit but we desperately needed a screen door to keep bugs out of our apartment.
I have a cat that isn't very smart but he figured out how to get in/out of the screen door as soon as we installed it. Installation took about 10-15 minutes, max. It was very easy.
It seems pretty sturdy too. My cat jumps on it to open it (I mentioned he isn't very smart) and it seems to be holding up just fine. If you have pets, you may want to invest in the fiberglass version as I think it will hold up better.
I love that we can enjoy fresh air while keeping bugs out. And my kitty can freely walk in and out. Great buy!

Winter isn't hear yet so I don't know how well this will work with the rain. I was outside and noticed a neighbors cat looking in. Fortunately they remained outside. I recently bought a new couch, it should fit thru without any trouble. I wanted to make sure the screen stays in place so I removed the door trim, put the screen in place and put the trim back in place. It's nailed into place, looks good and working well.

OK literally the cat's meow. We purchased this so we could leave our backdoor open so the cat could get in/out without us having to get up every 5 minutes. She can and the bugs stay out. Incredibly simple in it's design it works perfectly. Only advice I would give is to pay attention to the instructions when installing: it is very important that it isn't too tight on the sides and that the center of the top is slightly elevated above the sides on the top. This assists in the screen mesh closing on it's own.

measure your door opening b4 you buy this. While it is an excellent magnetic screen, the product states 39 to 36 wide, if you go ahead and buy this for 36" door, you will need to modify it from 39" wide. Even if you are fluid on a sewing machine (like me) it will still take an hour to modify it.

I installed this on the hottest day of the summer (so far). The fit was perfect and was easier to install than anticipated. The door fits perfectly in the threashold and looks nice! The air flow in my living room is much better with this on my patio door and helps reduce the insects from coming in. If you measure your door just right and order the right size, you'll be pleased.
