This is the perfect size decoration for any tank. With its real looking moss it actually comes across as real not resin. This is also a great seller and ships quickly.

Arrived on time and item is as described. But if you aren't familiar with aquariums/fish-- this is the kind of product that WILL hurt your fish if you use it "as is" out of the package. Mine had VERY sharp edges. It took quite a bit of sanding and even trimming with wire snips before the interior edges were smooth, and the resin is clear, not black. The interior is only painted black. So sanding the sharp edges will knock the paint off and allow light into the "cave" which will make it a poor shelter for nocturnal fish. Also, when soaking it a lot of indeterminate "gunk" came off of it.

That's normal for most aquarium decorations you could buy at a store, but if someone is buying this for their kid or just getting into aquariums and doesn't know, it will definitely lead to dead or maimed fish unless you properly prepare it. That means scrubbing and soaking it with hot soapy water, sanding the entrances and interior angles that the fish want to hang out in (especially if it's for a tank with bettas, guppies or other delicate finned fish), rinsing it again in hot water, then letting it dry completely before putting it in your tank (to prevent bacterial contamination).

I got my baby cichlid many hiding places but at the end of the day when he feels scared this is his go to spot. He really loves it even though I have a urn that is bigger and roomier, to each his own. If my fish loves it, I love it! Am thinking of getting another for my 10 gallon tanks:)

I was SO excited to get this because the current in my betta tank is a bit much for the male butterfly I have. I got this to give him some privacy and to help break the current on the flat top and I was so excited because it was the PERFECT thing. Then I got it and it smelled horrible, like straight chemicals. I soaked it in water for 24 hours to see if maybe the smell would dissipate (cause maybe it was just something left over from manufacturing, right?), and it got WORSE. This decoration smells like wet spray paint now, to the point that it burns my nose. I can't use this without worrying about what kind of treatment they used on it killing my expensive betta.

I bought this for my beta fish. It doesn't have sharp edges that you need to sand down. It's a bit difficult to clean unless you have a little critter that eats algae. My fish loves it. It looks nice. I'm happy with my purchase.
