Works plug-and-play in both Linux and Windows. I have ethernet and a wireless keyboard/mouse receiver plugged in and both work flawlessly.
having a strip of ports is so much better than a round hub

I don't know what it is about me and USB, but I never seem to have enough ports. I bought this to replace a round hub I used to have which had a casing that fell apart within a few months (but I stubbornly kept on using it anyway). Eventually, the ports themselves started to fail, so I finally caved and looked for a new one. Let me tell you, having a strip of ports is so much better than a round hub. Instead of having cords sticking every direction, it fits behind my monitor nice, slim, and covert but is still easy to access. The speed so far also seems to be pretty great for most things--though, my portable backup drive copied way too slow for me through this hub, so I transferred it to my direct ports instead. Otherwise, a great buy for the price. I'm actually considering getting another one because... (see title).
Only thing i can think of should be a improvement is have "on/off" switches as it would be so handy as well. Beats having to plug and unplug them every use.As I have to unplug my webcam when I'm not using it for peace of mind (yes, I'm paranoid).

Awesome product from Zoweetec! First start with outstanding build quality, outside is all metal, really sturdy and solid. Works as advertised, fast and reliable does what it supposed to do. I can only say positive about this product.

This thing is excellent. It does the job, I have 300 Mbps internet from Cox and it works no problem through my USB port. I also connected 4 terabytes of external storage the discs function just fine read, they mount and unmount.. no problems whatsoever :)
