I purchased this for my macaw. She was starting to self mutilate and after much research I decided to do more foraging type of feeding. So far it has worked well. This product is great. My only issue was the 'screws' which secure at the top was made out of plastic, she took less than a week to destroy them. I fixed with metal and so far so good.

First he was uninterested in it. A few days later my Orange Wing Amazon parrot is enjoying picking his treats and peanuts from this. I placed it in his cage with puffed bird treats, yogurt bird goodies, and roasted unsalted peanuts. I now see him helping himself to treats a few times a day. Peeling the typical acrylic-protective paper off wasn't a big issue. The hook and cord are secure. I draped cord over part of cage to shorten it to a good length for one of his perches. Treats don't fall out if you place it carefully but it is a challenge for him to get the smaller treats from the bottom holes. Watching to see if he can manage that, if not I'll just remove old and add more, essentially rotating old treats to top. Glad I got it this for a challenge for him, pleased with it.
