Total junk. Do not buy.
Anisicoria•March 19, 2018
This microwave is junk. I received it yesterday, used it for the first time this morning for 30 seconds to heat up a beverage, then this afternoon it shut off in the middle of cooking a potato and wouldn't turn back on. I tested the outlet, tried multiple different ways to turn it on, but it was dead. A few hours later it was able to turn on again, but trying to finish my potato, it shut off again 2 minutes from being done and wouldn't turn on.
Ridiculously poor quality. Look elsewhere. And tell me if you find a microwave that will last longer than 2 years. I don't know what's happening these days but I can't find a single microwave that is built with any quality. Our last one died after 1.5 years! What is going on?
Glad I found this out within the return window. Don't purchase. Seriously. Don't do it.

Confession: I had a perfectly functioning, somewhat expensive microwave when I bought this little Daewoo. But it was reallllly big and I got tired of it taking up so much room and being this hulking black box in the kitchen.
Why, hello there, you cute little Daewoo you! So they got me with the red and the design and then all the reviews I read were in praise. It's as "squeeee" cute in person as you think it is. The controls are so simple that they take a bit to adjust to "” but what's offered is really all you need. Unless... you're not going to be able to COOK with this little thing. It's not a hamster on a wheel "” more like a guinea pig. Your tea and coffee will be fine. Your ramen will take 2 minutes longer. And per the "giant potato test" I ran tonight, it takes two of the auto cook cycles to get somewhere close to done, and I'm someone who likes to get my potatoes started cooking in the microwave and finish them in the oven because I am impatient. (I also like my potatoes not to fight back at all so their insides are almost rough mashed consistency.)
If you were going to equip a small AirBNB or other rental with a microwave, you'd do quite well with this one. If you've got a family and make lots of big frozen dinner things and the kids are always slamming the microwave door, you'll need to step up your microwave game.

More of the Same- I Hope

I bought this to replace an oven that was apparently an earlier version of the same model. I had that for at least ten years, probably 15 or more, and it still works fine- it was just beat up and starting to flake paint in the interior; at any rate, I certainly got my $50 worth out of that one and I hope this one lasts as well. The manual controls have, unfortunately, been replaced with electronic- they're a little less convenient, but not bad, and the timer may be a bit more accurate.
But decided to keep it because it looks really good. Nice clean design

I ordered the red one, but received the white one. But decided to keep it because it looks really good. Nice clean design, works well. It's weaker than my last microwave, so I have to cook foods for longer, but that's okay. I love the minimalist controls.
So adorable, works great

So adorable, works great! It does have a lower wattage so you have to cook a bit longer but what is a few extra seconds. I love that there is NOT a clock on it, the unit "shuts" down when not in use, I hate using electricity when not in use, how many clocks do you need in a kitchen?? We have this microwave at our cottage in a "vintage" kitchen and fits in great along with my 1950's frig and stove.
