Poor Customer Service
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 14, 2018
Customer service is poor. Ive had the trainer for about 3 months. It worked well for about a month, then i started noticing some weird patterns in resistance. Eventually the trainer would only work for about 15 minutes before making a loud buzzing and eventually locking up. Even though the program called for low resistance, it was extremely tough to pedal. It might be a defective product, which happens and im not as frustrated knowing that. However, Im annoyed with the lack of support from kinetic in resolving the issue.

Initially they responded, but just stopped after the first reply! So far, i would not recommend this product solely based on their lack of customer service.
Trainer is solid but Smart features are way behind other brands

Disappointment is what I can say about this product. The Kinetic Fit app does not provide a streamline process for working with Garmin devices. I mainly bought the smart trainer function so my wife could start to train with power since I use a quarq on my road bike and SRM on my tri bike. The power measurements do measure consistently but the trainer experiences too many power dropouts and cadence dropouts. Overall the most frustrating aspect is the kinetic fit app and it's ability to work with Garmin devices. I would not recommend this product for its smart features since there are better products on the market for that aspect. The Kurt Kineric line of trainers is hands down the best and hard to best for its realistic road feel. I would recommend investing in another brand trainer or a combination of power meter paired with the Kurt Kinetic non smart trainer before investing Kurt Kinetics smart trainers until they go through drastic improvements with their apps and the power meter functions. Online reviews fail to go into the detail about the app and lack of compatibility with Garmin so beware before you buy if you rely heavily on your Garmin products.

Delivery time was impecable. I'm currently an expat living in Chile and the product was delivered ASAP. Was really amazed by that aspect of the service but based my review heavily on the fact that I invested in a smart trainer which failed to meet expectations.
Great trainer for those of us snowed in!

First off, I'm not aspiring to be a professional cyclist so I just need to maintain fitness over winter or maybe gain a little. The KK Smart control trainer has been great so far! A lot of people complain that it doesn't have ANT+, but that has not been an issue for me. I have used the Kinetic iFit app, but most of my riding has been on Zwift. The trainer connects via Bluetooth smart through Zwift's mobile link on my iPhone to my PC running the Zwift program on the same WiFi connection. The smart control trainer changes resistance with the virtual course and gives a dynamic and immersive experience vs just staring at a TV show or blank wall. It also has one of the heaviest flywheels of all the other smart "wheel on" trainers, which gives it a more realistic road feel and provides some coasting on the virtual down hills. The only drawback...cadence isn't always accurate, but if that is important to you then purchase a designated cadence sensor and pair that to iFit or Zwift.

The package was delivered on time and in good shape. The trainer was easy to set up and was ready for a ride within 10 minutes. The initial ride on Zwift I did was through my iPhone app, the ride was flawless. Then trying to connect to Zwift through my HP computer I had trouble at first. Then I logged on to the kinetic web site and found easily, that you have to have the zwift mobile link on on your phone for the Bluetooth to connect the trainer to your computer. I really like the way the trainer changes the resistance while riding on Zwift. Very happy with this purchase!!!
