Great for amigurumi
Seraphima✓ Verified Purchase•May 6, 2017
I love this yarn. I use it for amigurumi crochet all the time. It's my favorite to use for dolls because of the stiffness, and I find it easy to work with. The soft ecru color is my favorite yarn for light skin tone and the big spools are awesome and go a long way!
Not denim but good quality

This is a durable, heavyweight"‹yarn. However, denim doesn't describe the color. It's more a variegated baby blue color (project on left). I had a smaller ball of competitor yarn that was also called denim, and actually looks like denim (project on right). I was very disappointed to be stuck with a large quantity of the wrong color.
Makes a Nice Finished Product!

I love this yarn for looming dish rags. I got this in the Potpourri. The color is nice and neutral, so if I'm making them for gifts, I don't need to be concerned that it will clash with someone's decor. It handles well and is nicely suited to looming.
Once the finished product is ready, this yarn feels so good in your hands when you're washing dishes. No commercially made dish rag could compare. I've found that most of the dish rags I've made with this brand will last a minimum of a year. This was, of course, in the early stages of learning to make them. Now, with a bit more practice, I do have many that have lasted for more than two years, so far. So, this yarn is good and durable and will make a quality product.
The other thing I like is that it comes in the 14 oz. cone. This offers an ample supply to keep up with the production level I enjoy. I will definitely be buying more of these!

I absoultely love this yarn. Great versitle worsted weight cotton that can be used for many different projects. I've used it for dish rags, dish towels, and most currently a throw.
Why does this cone seem a lesser quality than the same yarn in a skein?
knittygirl52✓ Verified Purchase•May 31, 2016
So, I bought this large cone of Sugar'n Cream because I wanted to make place mats, and the cones are less expensive per oz. than the skeins. Weird thing though: I started the project with a couple of skeins that I had around the house. I was relieved when the cone arrived to see that it matched the skein perfectly. However, about halfway through the cone, the coloration seemed to degrade. What was a fairly precise change between colors became long sections that were neither color A nor color B but something in between. And the dark chocolate color degraded to the point where it was more like overly-weak coffee, with a slight purplish tinge. These are items for casual use, so it isn't worth making a federal case about it, but it was definitely disappointing.
