Rubber grommet failed in about 2 months.

There is a small rubber spacer in the rear of this unit which is affixed with some sort of adhesive. It's failed in about two months using a standard Moen brushed nickel hose. It was at first a firm fit, then too tight as the rubber piece was partially dislodged and now does not work very well without the rubber piece.
Unsure how the current design can overcome the problem of removal re positioning of hose. This may work fine for someone that NEVER removes their hose.

Well, upgraded my review after the company replaced a defective unit immediately. They actually shipped it overnight to me which probably cost more than the product itself. You just can't get customer service like that anywhere. This really is the nicest oil rubbed bronze arm bracket on Amazon, and it is well worth the money. Frustrated with many oil rubbed bronze shower products on Amazon because most of them are just painted and peel, or just cheap plastic most likely from China. I do like the oil rubbed bronze metal nut that screws on the shower head flange. They also do have a decent oil rubbed bronze shower hose and I recommend that too.

I really wanted to like it, but this fell WAY short. First of all, it's made of a cheap plastic, which is so easily scratched that it incurred it's first war wound just taking it out of the box. I used my existing shower system (which worked fine previously) when hooking up this diverter, but the adjustment knob does not divert from one showerhead to the other completely. One head or the other always has a steady stream of water coming out of it, no matter how hard you twist the plastic knob to close the valve.

This thing rocks. I bought it to replace the one that broke when I installed a new (cheap) handheld howerhead. All I did was tighten the thing and it cracked. So lame.
This replacement went on smooth as butter. There was plumbers tape in the package and now my shower is leak free and it's awesome. Oh, and the ball joint is solid. No drooping whatsoever. Everything stays firmly in place at the angle you put it.

We needed this arm bracket for the guest bathroom.
