This hat was one of those buys that turns out to be super good. The hat fits my husband and myself. We wore it in Alaska in -30 weather and never got cold. That's saying a lot for something not specially bought from one of the high end "outdoors" companies that are geared for that. I'm very glad I bought this hat and would tell anyone not to worry, it's a good buy from a nice company. I'm impressed.

Super fluffy - it did not feel like cheap polyester - and it did not have a smell. It came with a resealable bag, which will help keep out dust until winter. I really recommend this to anyone who feels cold during the winter or plans to hike during the fall months.

does not come smooth like in the pictures, needs to be lightly steamed when you first get it. This is a pretty small hat for me, i can sorta wear it, but i cant use the face mask or the velcro arms. I am going to have to add my own extra velcro since the strips start so far down the arms. BUT it is still one of the most fashionable versions of a ski trooper (for the sale price of 10$) so i think i will keep it and just slightly alter it for my head. (i am 6'7" so its not that strange that it doesn't fit me, it seems to fit anyone to some degree who is just under 6')

I actually wrote a review for the wrong hat (black one) that was a gift for a friend.
