I got this heater last Thanksgiving. It worked perfect all winter. No problems at all. I turned it on for the first time after a year and now all of the sudden I am smelling a "burnt dust" smell coming out of it and its now hot to the touch on the front metal piece. It never was hot to the touch. Looks like I just have it for looks now or I'll need to get a replacement heater for it. Pretty bummed.

Am very unhappy with product well never buy again wood broke with 55 inch tv on it supposed to hold up to 60 and did not hold broke into spent all that money for nothing

Bought this piece for my mother for Christmas last year (Dec 19, 2016) and today we realized that the wires behind it melted and caused a fire. No major damage but it now doesn't work! Not happy at all. The price was cheap for what it was but seems now to be worth every penny!

First off, the packaging did not provide adequate protection. We actually had to reorder the product, and then mixed and matched the un-broken pieces from both packages. Second, the CAM fasteners/screws did not match up well with the holes. Almost half of the fasteners were bent while trying to assemble the pieces. We decided to wood-glue everything together as an extra precaution. Third, after we finished getting our TV arranged and all of our stuff set up, I noticed the diagonal slat on the left cupboard door was running the wrong direction. Pretty annoying. We only noticed after we had finally sent back the package with multiple broken pieces.
Other than these 3 problems, the stand is nice. Aside from the one door, it looks great. It's great to have a little space heater in our TV room, and the fire doesn't look too cheap even though it's fake. The multiple settings on the fireplace are really handy. It's a shame this was made in China. The workmanship is garbage. The result is decent though.

Although there was a lot of pieces to put it together and thankfully I have great friends that helped me. The fireplace is the best part of it
