Nice treads and compound but thin sidewalls

As soon as I installed them I noticed how flimsy the sidewalls were compared to my stock tire. This made me a little nervous because I planned to go offroad. After one week of owning and about 3 rides I got a flat from a very pesky thorn. Can't blame the tire for how common they are but after a tube change I noticed damage to the sidewall already. You can see the damage in the pic. It hasn't gone all the way through but I'm betting that really compromises the tire from this point. You can see the pins on the treads still pointing to how new it is. Overall nice thick treads. I like the pattern a lot and I'm excited to keep riding as long as it holds up.
