So I was super skeptical about this product at first, it being a third of the price of the next best one available, and I've shopped in stores and on other sites, and the price I kept seeing was 800-1000 dollars without install service. So I rolled the dice, and expected a cheap, flimsy product, that worst case scenario I would use in the winter to keep the snow out of the bed of my tacoma and I would start again in the spring.
the product was shipped on time, so plus right there. the box itself was large but not unmanageable.
The written instructions were a bit vague and if your not too mechanically inclined you may struggle with them, but the youtube video was about 5 minutes long and extremely thorough. So I'm confident anybody can figure this out. start to finish took me about 20 minutes. the kit gave me everything I needed but a knife to cut the weather strip. At the end of it, still being weary of this product, I went through it with a fine tooth comb looking for issues, and what I did find wasn't a deal breaker, especially for 270 bucks, 1. the clamps were kind of a pain in the A to adjust and get just right, and if your going to be in and out constantly removing the cover, maybe get something more sturdy and pliable, 2. even with the heath strip, this is in no way 100% water tight, so anything that can't get wet shouldn't be placed in the bed with no other protection, 3. the canvas isn't real thick, but does seem durable enough to with stand snow and highway winds, but I wouldn't stand on it or use it as a tool bench
Again, for the price difference and what my use for it is, these are non issues for a 500+ dollar savings.
Its been on my truck for a month no, in in that month, its withstood rain storms, heavy winds, a lot of highway time and a carwash. SO far so good. As I mentioned above, I did need to remove the rear section once to us my bed, and it was a bit cumbersome to clip and unclip, and the plastic handles I do fear may become brittle in colder weather, so be warned if you are going to be in and out of the bed, but again for me its a not that big of a deal.
5 stars....is it the best no, but it is the best for its price.

Fits perfectly and easy to install. It keeps things dry and groceries from flying out of the truck. I highly recommend watching the YouTube install video first to figure out how to install the brackets into the tacoma bed rails.
For the Price, Great Product (So Far)

Ok, so my brother had one of these and he was definitely pressing me to buy one. I used it for a week on his truck, it certainly wasn't a bad product but it didn't necessarily feel solid to me either. He had it on a Ram 1500 that's what I was using. Fast forward 2 months, here I am with my own Gator Soft Tri-Fold with my 2019 Tacoma Pro. Installation wasn't bad at all, took about an hour but I certainly putzed around a bit. If you know what you're doing, you can definitely do it quicker. I recommend watching a Youtube video before you install it. Once installed, I can definitely see some air holes in the corners by the cab so to answer the questions whether or not this is water proof? I highly doubt it. The hole aren't big but they certainly do let some light in so I can only assume water will find it's way through at some point. I live in Portland, OR and it's not rainy season at the moment but it will be in a few months. I'll update the review if I see a lot of water come through. The company does not market the product as water proof so I wouldn't knock them for it anyway.
Installation-wise, it was pretty easy however I do think the inner clamps (you turn knobs) are a bit funky because as you get tighter and tighter, eventually the knobs will hit the screws, this is kind of a poor design. The only way to tight theses taught is if you turn the clamp on an angle. Other than how it looks, it seems to function OK.
All in all, I am pretty happy with the product so far especially given the price. I do not feel I could give it 5 stars simply because the knob for the clamps on the inside was pretty frustrating when I was installing it. I'm not a perfectionist but it was driving me nuts that the clamps are on an angle otherwise I couldn't tighten it anymore because it would hit the screw heads.

It was pretty easy to install! A little difficult to figure out where to start but came together nicely. Remember to get all the foam bits stuck in places first but you can always buy some and wedge in where you can. Cleaned up afterwards with some vinyl interior cleaner afterwards. I used Jay Leno interior cleaner with a microfiber because it's good on vinyl and offers UV protection.
Great cover

Overall a great product, it was not as easy to install as I thought. There is no videos on how to instal it on a Tacoma, at least not that I could find for THIS specific model. It states all the tool you need are included but you do need some tools to take off the back part of bed rail to make it waterproof and a socket wrench you will need a 3/4 and 1/2 I believe. Due to the confusing instructions that came in the package it took me a while to completely install it. Also after installation it was really hard to close the cover the first time, made me think I had installed it incorrectly lol. Took two people to close it, but it was just the first time. Other than that it is a great cover, great for the price. Waterproof seal isn't 100% but it's just the tiniest bit of water that get in so I got no issues yet. It looks great. I love it
Just get all the tools you need first, confusing instructions but overall it's really good I love it
