My wife had an older model of this unit and it worked great until I could not locate the replacement parts, but the new pressure cooker works great with pork, spare ribs, beef and is also very useful for people that like to steam veggies and/or deserts. Overall I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys cooking and those that want to expand their talents in other areas of home cooked dishes! The most important issue is to remember to store the lid upside down, so it will reduce the wear on the rubber gasket installed in the lid.
