Used this product to hang five 4ft shelves made from 2x6 lumber. Prep work was the hardest, making the slot and drilling the 4 inch holes. Having the proper tools to do this would of made life easier. The adjustment screws and slots on the brackets helped dial in the shelves to level. The 2x6 boards may have been a little much for the bracket, as they wanted to dip down on the front edge. Adjusting the screws on the bracket to max helped this out. Bought two sets of 8 of these brackets. One box came with sheet rock anchors and screws, one box did not. This is the reason for 4 stars. If not for that minor issue, the product would get 5 stars, and any alternative to hanging these types of shelves would of been much more work.

Good product, worked as advertised, although the way the hardware mounts is not conducive to both mounting holes covering a stud, so you wind up with one hole very tight, while the other only secures to sheetrock. The sheetrock inserts do not work and I used a different product to improve support. Overall the price was right for my shelf.

This is a thoroughly engineered, high quality, versatile product. It has a way to adjust the angle of the shelf, the shaft is more than sufficient with the 4" rods and has a way to lock the shelf in place. CAUTION, if you're a normal handy guy with an adequate, but not really professional workbench, THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU. I am not a professional cabinetmaker or any kind of wood worker, but as a hobby I have a fully equipped cabinet making shop. In order to do this right you will need a router table, the proper bit, at least a 1" thick shelf, and other tools that most DYI people don't have. However, if you have that stuff, this product is really good. If not and you want to have it installed, hire someone that knows how to do it. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Cheapest way to make DIY homemade shelves period! However, make sure you read the description thoroughly. I highly recommend having either a drill press or router to make pockets I would hesitate to use a handheld tool. Other than that for those with the proper know how great product and way less the competitive options!
